Vania Goshe grew up in Chirpan, Bulgaria, where she showed an interest in art early on in life. Vania studied at the New Bulgarian University in Sofia, graduating in Cinema, Television and Advertising. At the same time she actively pursued her artistic interests by attending classes in drawing and painting.
During The Trail Vania will be working on a painting and answering questions about her creative process at her pop-up open studio at Christine X Art Gallery in Sliema.
After leaving university Vania worked as a videographer in television and as a camera-person for international film companies. In her spare time she began to take part in joint and solo art exhibitions and accepting commissions.
Since settling in Malta in 2008 she has been working as a freelance artist undertaking commissions and participating in numerous exhibitions, local festivals and events. Working in a variety of media, Vania likes to achieve harmony and contrast by blending realism with the abstract, which lends her work a unique style. Her goal is to help viewers escape for a few moments, to lift their spirits and to instill a sense of optimism by portraying harmonious and colourful compositions.
