Allura has won a series of awards for its innovative approach to bringing the Arts to a wider audience. These include a Medal for Creativity from the World Intellectual Property Organisation in 2019, first and second prizes for creativity in the Malta Intellectual Property Awards 2018 and 2019, shortlisting in the finals of the Social Impact Awards Malta 2018 and in the Arts Council Malta’s national arts awards in 2020.
The Allura Art Allura Art gallery website introduces art lovers from around the world to high quality original art from some of the leading contemporary artists practising in Malta today. Allura invites you to virtually meet our artists by welcoming you into their studios to see them work. We work closely with our artists to guarantee the highest quality original pieces, fair market prices, a secure payment process and safe shipping.
Allura also runs The Trail, a festival-style visual arts experience, showcasing diverse artists in pop-up ‘open studios’ to the visiting public.
Allura also operates The MACC (The Malta Arts and Culture Club) an online cultural platform promoting arts, culture and creative talent. It was The MACC which saw Allura nominated for innovation in the Il-Premju għall-Arti awards.
Laura is a visual artist, writer and entrepreneur from the UK, with a background in arts education, cultural event-planning and curatorial work. Laura established Allura to create a global audience for emerging creative talent. Allura has won several awards for its innovative approach to this work.
Laura is also the Arts and Culture Coordinator for the Times of Malta national newspaper, a judge on the panels of several art prizes and a regular guest speaker at the University of Malta. As a practising artist, Laura also regularly sells and exhibits her work.
